I am a plant scientist who has studied the likely effects of the increasing atmospheric CO2 concentration and warming on agricultural productivity, and I am also an amateur photographer who appreciates the beauty of flowers.
Mexican Bird of Paradise
After moving to Tucson in 2012, I became captivated by the stunning beauty of the Sonoran Desert; so much so that I spent every waking moment capturing this magnificent ‘little piece of Heaven’. One small hurdle--at 67 I was still a ‘point and shoot’ photographer! So, with trepidation, I took some classes! Surprise! "All those dials” weren’t so hard to understand, after all!! Please enjoy my interpretation of the stunning beauty of the flowers of the Sonoran Desert.
