Green Valley Gardeners sponsors a seminar series that is open to the public at no charge. The seminars occur Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Desert Hills Social Center, 2980 S Camino Del Sol, Green Valley. Doors open at 9 with coffee, cookies and social time. Seminars take place each week except the 3rd Thursday of the month, September through November, and January through mid-April. Please go to our website for topics and speakers.

Desert Meadows Park is a 4+ acre Sonoran Desert botanical garden. It is located along the Anza Trail which follows the Santa Cruz river through Green Valley. Established in 2014 and maintained by volunteers of the Green Valley Gardeners. Visitors will find a wide variety of plants native to or adapted to the Sonoran Desert. The park is certified as an ArbNet arboretum, a NABA butterfly garden and a monarch waystation. Demonstration gardens include a rainwater garden which provides bird habitat and a 60-plot community garden providing year-round vegetable crops. Open to the public without charge ~ 999 S La Huerta.
